Is it harmful and unadvisable to eat animal (such as beef, lamb, chicken and pork) spinal cord?

Only some beef because of the risk mad cow disease poses. In fact, no cow brain or spinal cord is allowed to be sold in the US due to the risk. It's a slim chance but it could become an epidemic if it ever contaminates America's beef market
