How do you price floral arrangements using the mark up method?

I'm not familiar with the florist business, but no business has markups like you imagine unless that same business also has tremendous losses they have to cover as well. Most businesses do well to sell an item for $1.00 that cost them .60, what I would call a 40% markup. I'm sure floral arrangements have more markup that that, but I doubt they're adding all these markups together like you suggest, or else competitors would soon rush into the business. Remember this: "Excessive Profits Breeds Ruinous Competition".
