How to get access to all xp files from windows 7?

i recently got windows 7 ultimate and installed it.i still have all my files on my old OS (xp) when i try to use any of the files i have to change the ownership and i still dont have access to any of the executable files.my internet connection is very slow so i cant even download the "windows xp mode".can someone tell me how i can get full access to all my win xp executable files!?!?!

Can someone explain the different tackles used on fly rods?

From everything I've looked up, I see that there are a couple different kinds of tackle used for fly fishing, Line Backing, Line, leader, tippet, and i think that's it. For line backing, do you fill your entire spool with backing? half of the spool? would you put half backing/half line? and how strong should each be, for example, should the backing be stronger then the line, vice-versa, or should they just be the same? And finally, what are good backing/line brands? sorry for asking so many questions, I just really want to start fly fishing, to do something a little different from traditional spin tackle fishing.

OTK socks with school uniform - is that trashy?

I go to a school where the uniform skirt is short and its been freezing lately so I've been wearing otk socks (alternating black and white) There is nothing to prohibit that in the dress code. My friend is obsessed with a stereotype that otk/ thigh high socks are trashy (or worse evoke innuendo of prostitution - I know, charming!) However my arguments are (1) It's freezing (2) The're just functional, ribbed socks and are the right color for the uniform (We're not talking anything racey) (3) They cover more flesh that the uniform the way most girls wear it (4) Guys increasingly wear their socks otk playing soccer (are they s?) (5) They help redeem an a drab uniform (6) They're one of very few ways to customize the uniform that is allowed. So is my friend right or is her notion judgmental and antiquated?
