Are guys intimidated or bored by a smart girl?

ok, i know that i'm not gorgeous or anything but i'm fairly good looking, or at least that's what i've been told, along with the fact that i'm smart (i'm at the top of my cl) and that i'm a good person. but can being too good make me unappealing or is it the smart thing? cuz whenever i like a guy, he doesn't like me back. but it's the guys that i'm friends with that end up having feelings for me and i can't reciprocate those feelings. am i doomed to be with no one that i want to be with?
